April 1–3 USEF Whitney and Serendipity put in stellar performances over the weekend at the 66th Annual Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and rocked the Low Adult Amateur Jumpers. They never stopped bringing it, even on Sunday, as the stakes were raised, and Whitney rode Serendipity over the big fences in the $1000 1.05 Meter Adult Amateur Jumper Stake, in which they placed 6TH. Their placings in the Low Adult Jumpers not only qualified Whitney and Serendipity for the $10,000 1.05 Meter Child/Adult Jumper Classic, they also won Whitney a well deserved GRAND CHAMPION. For more details on Whitney and Serendipity’s win, visit the DSH archives page.

Lauren obtained her APHA gelding, Irish Midnight (Mickey), in 2003 from an area rescue and has been showing him ever since. She started in the pre-beginner division and has shown up to 1st year Green Hunter with him. They are currently competing in Jumpers. She also shows a POA pony, Snowbaby Go, and is bringing along another APHA horse, Irish Moonlight, a five year old grey mare. Lauren has been showing and training with Dev for three years. Lauren lives in Wharton, Texas and has her horses there.

September 29–October 1 USEF Lauren hauled in to the Great Southwest Fall Classic, and straight out of the trailer was in the show ring, taking on the Training Jumper divisions. For details on her performance, visit the DSH archives page.

Amy Heidbreder

“Mean ears” is better know as Tall Dun and Handsome (“Sparky”). Sparky has been a member of the Branham family since he was born. Currently he is stabled at Devereaux Sporthorses and is being ridden and shown by Amy.

September 10–11 GHHJA Sparky rocks Amy’s world. Sparky did fantastic in the Schooling Jumpers at the Britannia Farm/Mo Hot Daze Horse Show. On Saturday, Amy and Sparky placed 3RD in the Timed First Round and in the Power and Speed, they placed 2ND.

On Sunday, Sparky came out guns-a-blazin’. He wasn’t quite fast enough to catch the horse that won Grand Champion, but with two 3RDs and a 1ST he came pretty dang close, winning RESERVE CHAMPION. Way to go Sparky! For details on his performance, visit the DSH archives page.
